RE: transmission cooler returne line

Jay,
You should have the 700R4/4L60 transmission in that truck. The return line going back to the trans is at the bottom of the radiator. You want to hook the return line to the trans cooler.
Out of transmission into radiator> out of radiator into cooler> out of cooler back to transmission. Get the BIGGEST cooler you can get. and mount it where it will get good air. DON'T bypass the radiator as it heats up the fluid in the winter months. This one
I suggest you give the transmission a good flush since you overheated the fluid.
It's easy to do on that tranny. Drop the pan, remove the filter. Then cut the neck off the filter, stick one end of the neck you cut off into a hose, the other back into the tranny where the filter goes. Fill up a CLEAN bucket with fluid, stick hose into bucket, start the truck, hold foot on brake and shift from rev to drive while holding foot tightly on brake and push all fluid through til you see good red fluid dropping down into pan.
Oh yeah, make sure you have a BIG catch pan under tranny or you will make a mess! This is usually better when you have someone helping you to keep an eye on things down below.
Install new filter, re-install pan, and add some more fluid after reaching running temp to full mark on stick. After you finish, that trans should shift and run very well. http://www.teamswift.net/images/ranks/yeahyeah.gif

RE: Tiny Bambi

This tiny deer was delivered by Caesarean section at a wildlife hospital after his mother was killed by a car.
Little Rupert, who is so small he can fit in an adult's hand, was born after vets failed in their battle to save his mother.
At just six inches tall and weighing just over a pound, he is now in an incubator in the intensive care unit at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire, UK
http://i38.tinypic.com/33vz3u8.jpg
He has only recently opened his eyes.
Les Stocker, founder of Tiggywinkles, said: "Rupert's mother had very severe injuries and could not be saved. We brought him out and got him breathing and then he went into an incubator on oxygen. He is now being fed by a tube."
Rupert pulls a striking pose for the camera

Staff are optimistic Rupert, now five days old, will make a full recovery.

"Deer are very, very tricky but this one has spirit. He's an extremely feisty little guy and quite pushy," Mr Stocker said.

RE: fan belt pulley

They are probably spaying or treating the belt you have. And, idler pulleys don't squeal or squeak unless they sprayed something on the belt, or the bearing is fried. Then they hollar.
Do yourself a favor, get yourself one of these puppies. The Goodyear Gatorback.

RE: Tire Size on '08 2500HD

You could move to 265's without sacraficing tow power. They look good on the '08's. http://images.ugoto.com/emoticons/thumbsup.gif
Or could go with 285/70 17's. But then you'll need new wheels.

RE: Rejected Because RV over 10 Years Old

A lot of these places better start thinking twice if they want to stay in business. Pretty soon that's all you're going to see is 10 year old units if the economy doesn't get back on track. What will they say then?

RE: air brakes question

Have them checked out. They could be out of adjustment. You could have thin linings on shoes. Yes, they could be glazed over. When you step on air brakes, just leaning on them a bit will be noticeable. If they are out of adjustment, or glazed, they will be like you decribe.
Don't guess when it comes to stopping 19 tons. Get them looked at, today.

RE: Bone causing obstruction?

Get him to the vets office asap. More than likely he has an obstruction. Isn't a small bill worth the guessing? But I'm no vet by any means and I wouldn't "guess" with my dogs. I'd be in the vets office letting them do the diagnosing. The longer you wait, the worse things get.
